about us About Us

Our team begins with our wonderful office staff, they lay down the foundation for great customer service. Our office supports our service technicians by helping them to be efficient and on time. We have three customer representatives who not only schedule your appointment at your convenience, but are also responsible for dispatching and processing your invoice. Knowing how important customer satisfaction is, they mail you a report card. This is our staffs way of watching over you from beginning to end.

One staff member supports the service technicians efforts. His responsibilities include product research, locating and delivering materials or equipment. Lastly, we have our full charge bookkeeper. She started with A&B as a teenager and knows her way around better than anyone.

Last but not least, we have our team of service technicians. They are the brick and mortar of A&B, each one is specialized in their own trade. Their average length of experience is nearly 18 years. Their average length of employment at A & B is about 13 years. We want you to feel good about having us in your home or business. Your service technician will be neat in appearance and well mannered.

Joining our team is difficult, not only do they have to be experienced, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. it’s important that our technicians are creative thinkers. Usually there’s more than one way to repair, replace, or install something. Therefore, excellent communication skills are a must so our customers can decide what solution most suits their needs. Drug and alcohol use is not tolerated.

We mean it when we say A&B since 1937

A&B Plumbing & Heating was established in 1937 by Aaron and his son Bob. Originally located in Glendale, they eventually relocated to West Los Angeles thanks to numerous referals from loyal customers, many of which who were in show business. As their company grew, they added servicemen to keep up with demand. Aaron and Bob never had any desired to be larger than medium sized because they enjoyed personal interaction with all of their customers. For many years they had a saying “Treat folks right, twist them pipes and wires tight”. Even though Aaron and Bob are long gone, we’ve been handed down the same values. Proudly we are now 11 service trucks strong with half of our team being with the company more than 23 years and as long as 36 years.
